When you donate your car to the Southington-Cheshire Community YMCAs, you play a crucial role in supporting essential programs that enrich the community. Your generous donation helps fund programs that promote youth development, health, and wellness, as well as provides financial assistance, offering scholarships, resources, and opportunities for all in need.

1. Go online or call (877) 957-2277 to fill out the donation form. We’ll ask for some information about your vehicle and where it will be picked up.

2. A local towing agent will call you within 2-3 business days to schedule a pick up time most convenient for you.

3. After your car is sold, you’ll be emailed a tax receipt

We accept almost all running and non-running car donations. Trucks, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, heavy machinery, trailers and RVs are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Your vehicle donation will help

If your car is 20 years or older, you can submit your registration and an Assignment of Ownership (form Q-1) in place of a title. If your car is younger than 20 years old and you can’t find the title, you’ll have to apply for a duplicate title through Connecticut’s Department of Motor Vehicles. When you donate a car to YMCA in CT, you’ll sign your title over to Advanced Remarketing Services. You will print and sign your name as the seller. If you have any questions about filling out your title, call us at (877) 957-2277.

Our trusted partners at Advanced Remarketing Services return on average 80% of the gross selling price for your car donation back to the YMCA, the highest of any vehicle donation program.

Yes! Within 30 days of the sale of your vehicle, you will receive an email with a tax receipt for your car donation which includes:

● The gross selling price of your car, if sold for greater than $500.

● Vehicle year, make, model, and VIN.

● A statement that the vehicle was sold at arms-length between two unrelated parties.

● A statement that no goods or services were received in return for your donation
