• A one mile run in conjunction with our Apple Harvest Festival Road Races
• Points will be awarded to boys and girls for 4th and 5th grade levels who finish in the top 8 of their respective divisions. The winning team will be awarded the Y Cup to keep in their school for a year.
• All Y Cup Runners will meet at DePaolo Middle School by 8:00 a.m.
• After registration, Y Cup Runners will be escorted to the 2.1-mile mark on the 5K Course (Woodruff St) where they will begin at approximately 9:15 a.m. and run to the finish line on Main Street.

• Separate boy and girl divisions for 4th and 5th graders in Southington schools

• Fill out the registration form with parent/guardian signature and return to your school’s main office before Monday, September 30th
• Registration after the 30th must be done at the YMCA. Day of registrations will not be accepted.
• Cost: $15 per person before September 30th. $20 per person between October 1st and October 5th
• Checks should be made out to the ‘Southington Community YMCA’
• All participants will get a t-shirt and finishers medal


• Sign In/Packet Pickup - Parents/guardians of YCUP runners must sign their child in at DePaolo Middle School (385 Pleasant St in Southington) by 8 am on race day. Runners will receive their t-shirt and race bibs after sign-in.
• Race Start - Y staff members will escort runners to the start of the YCUP, near the 2.1 mile mark on Woodruff Street. where they will wait in the safe holding area for the YCUP to begin at 9:10AM. Runners will go in waves by their division (4th grade boys, 4th grade girls, 5th grade boys, 5th grade girls).
• End of Race - Runners will receive their Y CUP medal and be picked up at the Y Cup holding area by the finish line.
• Results - Y CUP race results will be available Monday, Oct. 7, 2019 at The top 8 finishers in each category will be recognized at their schools on Monday, October 7, 2019
• Race Etiquette - Parents, guardians, coaches, siblings, etc. are not allowed to run with their child(ren). Runners must follow Road Race etiquette and respect other competitors. Special attention should be  given to running straight and not zig-zagging in front of other runners. Bibs must be pinned on the front of the T-shirt and have an electronic chip on the back of their race bib
• Y CUP Teams - While participants all compete individually runners can wear any shirt on race day and may even create their own team shirts.
• Parking - Due to parking limitations during the races, consider dropping off/signing in your child then parking at the High School and taking the shuttle downtown to the finish line.
