Sleep Part 1

Sleep Part 1

 remember

Over the years we have seen more information come out about sleep and its importance. When we are going to embark on a new goal: getting stronger, losing body fat, improving our 40yd time or just starting a new habit it's important that we pay attention to the major buckets that have the most impact on these outcomes.

In my opinion there are really only 4 buckets. Movement, nutrition, recovery and mindset. Sleep fills up most of your recovery bucket.

As you'll see in Chad Waterbury's post it is highly correlated to motor learning. So trying to pick up or improve an athletic movement can be hindered or enhanced based on how much sleep you are getting.

Check it out here.

Part 2 will be next week.

Have a great week!

Y 360 Class Schedule

Train hard, train safe, stay healthy. If you are looking to intensify your workouts, do it safely at the Y...we’ll show you how!

Meet higher levels of fitness at the Y through 360’s comprehensive and intense workout routines in a small group setting where certified, highly skilled staff will train you using safe, effective equipment. Featured equipment will include our Space Station, TRX, plyometric benches, cable systems, kettlebells, battle ropes and more. You’ll get it all in just 30 minutes.

CrossFit-Box-Jump-1

Y360 exercises are modeled similar to athletic training programs which makes Y360 perfect for middle school, high school, collegiate or recreational athletes. Our trainers can design a Y360 training program specific to any sport for off-season, pre-season or in-season training.

Guided and encouraged through each session by a highly skilled trainer, participants perform 6 intense, athletic style exercises for a fixed period of time of 40 seconds, followed by a short recovery of 20 seconds. A 60 second recovery will take place after all 6 circuits are completed and then it begins again.

Participants are encouraged to pace the circuits as needed. Modifications are always available.
