The Cheshire Community YMCA’s Health and Wellness Center is a safe, clean, state-of-the-art facility for members of all ages and levels. Our caring staff will work hard to help everyone develop healthy lifestyles and reach their greatest potential. Our classes are taught by our friendly, certified staff and create an environment that is fun, motivating, and non-competitive for members to build self-esteem as they reach their goals.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA  is a free 12-week small group activity and support program for adult cancer survivors.  The program helps those affected by cancer regain strength, endurance, and function that may be lost during treatment.  For more information, contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Health and Wellness Member Benefits

  • Free Health and Wellness Consultations – recommended to all members.  These one-on-one appointments allow us to get to know you better.  We talk a little about your medical and exercise history as well as your personal goals.  We talk about the different types of exercise and make recommendations that will help you reach your goals.
  • Free Equipment Orientation – Our certified trainers will show you how to use the equipment safely and effectively.  During this one-hour appointment, we start a training log for you and give you all the information you need to get the most from each exercise session.
  • Free Body Composition Testing – members may receive one free test per year.  Our quick and accurate bio-impedance test will show your lean mass to body fat ratio and your BMR (the rate at which your body burns calories while at rest).  Additional tests in a calendar year are available at $5.00.
  • Free Health and Wellness Classes – most classes are free with your membership!  Free classes include strength training, kid’s fitness, aerobics, stability ball, Zumba®, Pilates, and Yoga
  • Group Cycling on the ultra-smooth Keiser M3 cycles

Personal Training – Our certified trainers give you the encouragement and exercise prescription to make your goals attainable.  Whether you are just getting started, or have been exercising for years, a personal trainer can help you maximize the benefits of a focused fitness plan.
